Le 26 février 2025, le Comité des Ministres du Conseil de l’Europe a adopté la Recommandation aux États membres sur la mise en œuvre de la Convention du Conseil de l’Europe sur le paysage consacrée au thème « Paysage et santé ». Cette recommandation met en lumière les liens entre les deux domaines et plus spécifiquement en quoi le renforcement des qualités paysagères contribue à la promotion de la santé.

Settlement development follows predictable pathways. By analyzing the composition of neighborhoods in each settlement, from hamlets to cities, over more than a century, we identify five development archetypes. By predicting future development, we identify settlements likely to experience substantial densification, unseen in their past trajectories, potentially resulting in shifting identities and challenges for regional infrastructure. Our research helps planners anticipate such developments, allowing them to devise strategies to protect heritage, adapt infrastructure, and support sustainable growth.

The RSA 10 is an outcome of the Slovenian Presidency (2023-2024) and is the first endeavour by the Alpine Convention to address this issue as a whole, not only as a collection of efforts in different fields. The Report on the State of the Alps (RSA) is a serial publication elaborated every two years through the active participation of experts from the Alpine Convention’s Contracting Parties and Observers who are closely connected to the respective topic of the report. The RSA 10 introduces a general concept of quality of life, exploring its ecological, economic, and social dimensions in the Alpine region. It analyses statistical and spatial data as well as the results of an Alpine-wide survey and other relevant sources to provide an overview of the current state of quality of life. The Report is available in the four Alpine languages and English.

A partir de la 6^e génération, le paysage sera davantage pris en compte dans les projets d’agglomération en tant que thème transversal dans les domaines des transports et de l'urbanisation. Des éléments paysagers « verts et bleus » comme des arbres ou des surfaces perméables pourront être cofinancés via les mesures d’infrastructure de transport.

Ce changement figure dans les nouvelles directives pour le programme en faveur du trafic d'agglomération. Celles-ci précisent les modifications de l’ordonnance concernant l’utilisation de l’impôt sur les huiles minérales […] du DETEC concernant le programme en faveur du trafic d'agglomération (OPTA) entrées en vigueur le 1^er août 2025.
